Freda Mae Barker McDaniel, 81, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the United Hospital Center.

Mrs. McDaniel was born on May 12, 1939, a daughter of the late Harley and Mabel McNemar Barker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kiffen A. McDaniel, who passed on March 29, 2010. They were married for 28 years.

Freda is survived by her five children; David Weber and wife Tracy of East Liverpool, OH, Kathy Perry and husband Tom of Newport News, VA, Tim Bumgardner and wife Mary of Clarksburg, Kevin Bumgardner and wife Kim of West Union and Sean McDaniel of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Betty Helmick of Newport News, VA; special friend and niece, Kay Tonkery; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy Renee Bumgardner; grandson, David William Weber and sister, Mildred Swiger.
Freda retired from Eagle Convex in Clarksburg, WV after thirty years as a glass worker. She also worked for Princess House Manufacturing in Weston, WV. She was Protestant by faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family above all. She will be sadly missed.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jamie Gizzi presiding. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
