Obituaries

Please accept our condolences. Nella was such a gracious lady living her life with a hand outstretched to everyone. We live in Albuquerque now, but when visiting Clarksburg, we always enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and reminiscing about a certain bridge or golf game, a shopping trip to New York City, or the golf trip we took to the Bahamas in 1974. For decades now, we have made her exceptional recipe for baked beans and always think of she and Gordon as we enjoy the treat. My dear friend, I met in 1979 when I started working at Lowndes Bank. We worked very close together and developed a wonderful friendship. There were no better people on this earth than Nella & Gordon. You are reunited with your dear Gordon now and in the presence of our Savior. I will miss you dear friend and our visits. My good friend has returned home with Jesus and is reunited with her husband. She & Gordon were the first people to greet me when I attended Stealth UMC and we enjoyed many Sunday lunches together. I will miss my wonderful Christian friend.
