Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. to conclude the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 226 E. Pike Street, Clarksburg on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Casey Mahone as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Ann Marie Kakalec, 60, of Clarksburg, WV, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Pierpont Center in Fairmont following an extended illness.

Ann was born in Clarksburg, WV, on March 25, 1964, a daughter of the late Peter and Ruby Pavilack Kakalec.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary McCartney of Belington, and Theresa Brown and her fiancé Terry Beveridge of Fairmont; her nieces and nephews, Eric McCartney and Peter McCartney . She also leaves behind her three beloved cats that she adored, Morgan, Logan and Madyson.

She was employed in the CJIS Division of the FBI for 30 years. Ann was Catholic by faith. She was fashionable and always looked classy and loved shopping. She enjoyed watching people, walking for exercise, visiting the park, and feeding the squirrels.
