Anthony “Tony” Wodzinski, 61, of Stonewood passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

 

He was born in Scranton, PA on July 28, 1958 a son of the late Eugene Lantz and Yvonne Pearl Mealey Wodzinski.

 

Surviving are three brothers, Pete Wodzinski and his wife Shari of Lost Creek, Ed Wodzinski of Buckhannon, John (Jack) Wodzinski and his wife Bev of Buckhannon, and Gene Lantz of Lost Creek; six sisters, Dorothy Hines and her husband John of Mt. Clare, Florence Farrabee and her partner Rob Posey of Buckhannon, Marianna Lowman of Buckhannon, Helene Wodzinski of Buckhannon, Blair Kirkland of New Hampshire and Donna Lantz of Clarksburg; one brother-in-law, Skip Labno of Buckhannon; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

 

He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Alex Wodzinski, Joey Mealey, Johnny Mealey and Daniel Lowman; and one sister, Regina Wodzinski Labno.

 

Mr. Wodzinski was a United States Army veteran and worked in the administration office at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, which he was passionate about. Tony was very patriotic and loved his animals and working in his craftshop. He was a family man and cherished the family gatherings during the holidays.

 

There will be no public visitation. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2020 in the WV National Cemetery.
