Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Packie Beaver presiding.   Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Barbara Sue Wilcox, 71, of New Matamoras, OH, passed away on November 16, 2018, at the Wetzel County Hospital due to an Automobile Accident.

 

She was born in New Martinsville, WV, on July 16, 1947, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ellen Swiger Loy.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Wilcox, on June 8, 2003.

 

Mrs. Wilcox is survived by two sons, Carlton Bennett of New Matamoras, OH, and Stacy Bennett and companion Thelma of New Matamoras, OH; two daughters, Michele Bennett and companion Arlie of Lost Creek, WV, and Nicole Berentz and husband Mike of New Matamoras, OH; 12 grandchildren, Tommy Davidson, Eric Davidson, Chelsie Davidson, Bryant Davidson, Amber Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Brandon Bennett, Brent Bennett, Lacey Bennett, Amber Wilcox, Lakota Bennett, Mikka Amore; as well as several great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by three brothers, Chuck Loy and wife Mary, Larry Loy, and Paul Loy and wife Shelba, all of New Matamoras, OH; three sisters, Frankie Hendershot and husband Paul, Phyllis Ward and husband Steve, and Patty Beagle, all of New Matamoras, OH; and her former husband, Tom Bennett.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Isabella Bennett; one brother, Roger Loy; and three sisters, Genova Beagle, Frances Fox and Judy Ward.

 

Barbara was a retired cook with New Frontier Restaurant. She was an avid reader and a WVU Mountaineer fan.
