Mrs. Collins chose to donate her body to the WVU Human Gift Registry.   Family and friends will gather at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm with Reverend Etheldean Yanero officiating.

Bettie J. Collins, 91, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. She was born in Harrison County on August 7, 1927, a daughter of the late Exel Grant and Goldie Fay Harper Skidmore.

 

She was married to Luther Collins, who preceded her in death.

 

Surviving are three children, Dianna Smith of Pearland, TX, Donna Wolfe and her husband Gary of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Dennis Collins and his wife Janet of Clarksburg; six grandchildren, Shane Smith, Mindy Rothgeb and her husband Eric, Amy Wolfe, Kim Aycock and her husband Corey, Andrew Collins and his wife Jennifer and Steven Collins and his wife Halie; and 6 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Emma Jean Pethtel of Bridgeport, and Deloris Oldaker of Stonewood.

 

Mrs. Collins was a homemaker and a former member of the Stonewall United Methodist Church.
