Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Sunday, January 13th from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m.   The funeral service will be held at the Christian Assembly, 316 Buckhannon Pike, Nutter Fort, on Monday, January 14, 2018 at 12:00 Noon with Reverend Fred Aves presiding.  He will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. to the time of the service at Noon.   Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Brantley Jared Langford, 20, of Clarksburg, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 7, 2019, at his residence.

 

He was born in Clarksburg, on December 15, 1998, a son of Matthew James Langford of Mount Clare, and stepmother, Amanda Wright of Bridgeport.  He is also survived by his loving aunt that he called Te, Julie Langford Garvin. Brantley made his home with Te for many years and considered his cousins, Jasa and Juliet Garvin to be his sisters.

 

Brantley is also survived by his fiancé, Tracy Nicole Lawson and his beloved daughter, Paisley Noelle Langford both of Clarksburg.

 

Also surviving are three brothers, Cameron Langford of Mount Clare, Justin Whitehair of Grafton, and Joseph Tharpe of Summit Park; maternal grandmother, Cheryl Cockrell Erb of Bridgeport; paternal grandparents, James Langford of Mount Clare and Crystal Flynn Langford of Clarksburg; grandparents John and Mary Wright of Clarksburg; aunt, Jennifer Tharpe Bodenstein of Harrisburg, PA;  great grandparents, Robert and Eleanor Flynn of Clarksburg; great aunts and uncles, Gale Cockrell Rasberry of Arizona, Cindy Oswald Davis of Bridgeport, Connie Flynn Belcastro of Bridgeport, Janet Langford Sprout of Bridgeport, Lisa Langford Henderson of Stonewood, Beth Langford Mazzei of Nutter Fort, Connie Langford Rohrbough of Nutter Fort, and Robert Flynn II of California; and his biological mother, Lyndsay Tharp.  He also leaves behind many additional second cousins, extended family members, not mentioned, but were truly loved by him; close friends, Tina Dye, John Garvin, Bob Loretta, and Sherice Holland; individuals who had a special touch in molding his life, Bill Bennett, Basil Lucas, Billy Childers, Mark Jones, Scott Davis, and Paula Altman.

 

Brantley was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mark Erb; great grandmother, Lois Flynn LaRosa, great grandparents, Bill and Vivian Cockrell, Leland and Mary Jo Langford; and great aunt, Judy Langford Kallel.

 

Brantley graduated from Robert C. Byrd High School Class of 2017, and loved representing his school playing basketball.  He continued supporting his school by attending many sporting events following graduation.   He worked on the pipeline for Ryan Energy Services.

 

He had a passion for deer and bear hunting, and loved to fish, especially with his brother Cameron. He enjoyed four wheeling with friends and gave it up when his daughter was born.  He was an avid WVU and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

 

Brantley was a kind soul who never met a stranger and was devoted to his family.  He loved being a pipe liner and enjoyed his co-workers and new friends.  Above all, he worshiped his daughter, was devoted to his fiancé Tracy, and loved his family.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brantley’s memory made payable to Christian Assembly, for the future care of his daughter Paisley, and can be mailed to 316 Buckhannon Pike, Nutter Fort, WV 26301.
