Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 PM to conclude visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Kent Durig as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Catherine “Kathern” Virginia Lopez Paugh, 82, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Stonewood on December 31, 1935, a daughter of the late William and Rosa Scarchelle Lopez.

 

She was married to Richard Delano Paugh on April 20, 1959, who preceded her in death on September 14, 1977.

 

Surviving are two sons, Gary Paugh and his wife Christina of Stonewood, and Jimmy Paugh and his wife Michele of Stonewood; four grandchildren, Ashley Richison and her husband Joe, Drew Paugh, Travis Paugh, Paige Frazier and her husband Heath, and Laiken Beckley and her husband Jonathan. Four great grandchildren, Sophia Richison, Landon, Rhett and Ford Frazier. Two sisters, Thelma Defazio and Mary Ann Malcolm and her husband Bill, all of Stonewood. as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frankie, Louie, and John “Pappy” and Jimmy Lopez; sisters in law Lucille Lopez and Edith Lopez, and brother in law Bill Defazio.

 

Mrs. Paugh was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic church, where she was also a member of the O.L.P.H. Daughters. She was an avid supporter of the Stonewood VFD and donated her time preparing meals for fundraisers. She was devoted to her family and her home was always open to family and friends alike.
