Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Elbert presiding. Cremation services will follow.

Chad Everett McCloy, 45, of Salem, WV, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his adoring family, on Friday, November 8, 2024, following a battle with Grade 4 Brain Cancer.

Chad was born in Clarksburg, WV, on May 8, 1979, a son of Jerry Ramsey and Sherry McCloy Bartlett.

Chad is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Owens McCloy, who resides at their home in Salem.

He is also survived by five children, Kammi Russell and husband Logan, Brooklyn McCloy, Hunter Kennedy and companion Raeanna Maxwell, Makaila Cabell and husband Jeremy and Edith Bennett; as well as several grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Melissa Roy and husband Rob, Crystal Hart, Steve Ramsey and wife Marella, Terry Ramsey, Gary Ramsey, Barb Ramsey, and Jeri Gandee and her companion Josh; his cousin, Carl Ramsey who was like a brother and his wife Jessica, as well as several nieces, nephews, and his dog, Gunner.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vada Ramsey, who raised him and was like a mother; his grandfather, Perry Everett Ramsey, his infant son, Jonathan McCloy, and his cousin, Matt Leary, who was like a brother.

Chad was a graduate of Bridgeport High School Class of 1997 and was a salesman with Chenoweth Ford.

Chad loved to participate in fantasy football, enjoyed playing basketball, and was a Denver Broncos fan. He was a dedicated hard worker who never missed work.
