In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Earnest will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Madaus officiating.

Charles Lee “Chuck” Earnest, 77, of Clarksburg passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 in the United Hospital Center.
He was born in Clarksburg on July 8, 1946, a son of the late Merle Oakley and Reva Virginia Swiger Earnest.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Viola Riley Earnest, whom he married on May 11, 1969.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by one son, David Lee Earnest and his wife Amie of St. Albans; and three grandchildren, Joshua, Willow and Alexis Earnest.
He was also preceded in death by one infant daughter, Cynthia Earnest; one grandson, Andrew Earnest; and one sister.
Chuck was a retired mechanic having worked at various auto garages and was most recently employed by Valvoline Quick Lube on Rt. 98 in Clarksburg.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Earnest will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Madaus officiating.
