Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Friday, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. where a service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Josiah Pitts as officiant. Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery.

Courtney Paige Higginbotham, 19, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away in her home on Monday, November 25, 2024, following an extended battle with epilepsy.

She was born in Morgantown, WV on August 11, 2005, a daughter of Jason and Stacy Courtney Higginbotham.

Courtney is also survived by her brother, Carson Brady Higginbotham; maternal grandparents, Sharon “Rusty” Satterfield of Clarksburg and Gary Courtney of Grafton; paternal grandfather, Jimmy Higginbotham of Clarksburg; great-grandmother, Freda Courtney of Clarksburg; uncles, Christopher Courtney of Clarksburg and James Wayne Higginbotham of Clarksburg; as well as many cousins and close family friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley Mae Clevenger Higginbotham.

Courtney found joy in listening to various types of music and loved to live in the cinematic world of watching DVD’s. She enjoyed the open road and liked riding in cars. Her favorite passenger position however was in a golf cart, riding around the course while watching her brother play. She was also a devoted member of Horizon Church in Lost Creek.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
