Cynthia Alyce Starr, 64, of Mt. Clare, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 27, 2019 in the United Hospital Center. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 27, 1954, a daughter of the late Robert F. and Alma L. Polon Starr, Sr.

 

Surviving are one brother, Robert F. Starr, II of Mt. Clare; one sister, Beth Starr of Mt. Clare; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

Miss Starr had obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry and her Associates degree in Computer Science. She started and managed the Harrison County Animal Shelter for the first seven years, and she was a Home Health Care Provider with Maplewood Senior Living in Bridgeport.  Miss Starr most recently attended the Bible Baptist Temple.

 

Special thank you and love to Robert Upton, with whom she last worked, for his generosity and friendship and to the many residents at Maplewood Senior Living Community, whom she knew and loved.

 

Also special thanks to the nurses and doctors for their care of Cindy at United Hospital Center, and thanks to Dr. Carl Fischer and Dr. Maurice Rhodes for their loving and expert care of 30 years.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Starr will be cremated following the service.
