Obituaries

Dean Madison Stire, age 37, of Mt. Clare, WV, passed away on October 23, 2018, at his residence.

He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on October 3, 1981, a son of Troy Alexander Stire and Diane Hamrick Alastanos.  He was the stepson of Debra Dawn Stire and Jeff Alastanos.  He was the grandson of Patty Gillespie and her husband Larry of Nutter Fort, Jean Fluharty of Quiet Dell, and Angelo, Alastanos of Clarksburg.

Dean is also survived by his brothers, Zachary Stire of Nutter Fort, Logan Alastanos of Stonewood, Ethan Stire of Southaven, MS, and Anthony Veltri of Las Vegas; one niece, Kendall Stire of Stonewood, and one nephew, Bailey Stire of Stonewood; as well as several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ronnie and Carolyn Stire, and Denny Fluharty. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Reverend Jennings Dale, Hamrick, whom Dean was honored to resemble.

Dean was a graduate of Robert C. Byrd Highschool. He worked Construction, and served in the Army National Guard.

Dean was an avid Mountaineers football fan.  He loved animals especially his dad’s dog, and had a very soft heart. His family loved him deeply and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Private services were held for the family.
