Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Sherman Goodwin officiating.  Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Dennis Dale Dean, 62, of Stonewood passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Clarksburg on July 23, 1961, a son of the late Denver D. and Geneva Bloomer Dean.

Surviving are two sisters, Nora Harris and her husband Jerry of Clarksburg and Gloria Kirkpatrick of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Dean; one brother-in-law, Charles Kirkpatrick; two nephews, Brian Kirkpatrick and Jerry Cox; and one niece, Elizabeth Harris.

Dennis attended the Congregational Missionary Church in Stonewood.  He loved to hunt with his brother and enjoyed gathering and meeting with his friends at Hardees and McDonalds as he considered them family.  Dennis loved football as well as all WVU sports.  He was a lifetime resident of Stonewood, having been well known and liked by all who knew him.  Dennis adored the town of Stonewood, especially the volunteer fire department in his younger years.  He will be missed by his extended family at Town and Country Drug Store, whom he thought of as his family as well.  He also loved attending the community functions, including the Blackberry Festival in Nutter Fort.
