Family and friends may call at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Luke Brugger presiding. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Masonic Cemetery.

Diane Marie Burnside West, 76, passed away on March 14, 2020 at her residence.

 

She was born on June 11, 1943, in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Homer Jackson and Katherine Allman Burnside.

 

She is survived by her husband, William Holmes West II.

 

Mrs. West is also survived by her two daughters, Whitney Ann Wilson and husband Roy of Good Hope and Hope Alexandra Pill and husband Eric of Bridgeport; five grandchildren, Regan Alexandra Wilson, Reece William Wilson, Cambria Marie Pill, Jace Benton Pill and Kinsley Rae Pill; and her brother, Greg Burnside and wife Cathy of Jane Lew, along with several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, William H. West III and her twin brother, Dennis Burnside.

 

Diane taught pre-school locally for 5 years. She was a former beautician in Lost Creek. She spent ten years working for Southern Area Library. She is a member of Center Branch Assembly of God. Above all, Diane was a loving mother, devoted wife and grandmother. She was adored by many children for her tea parties she hosted. She spent many Sundays with her grandchildren teaching them about the Lord and the bible. She always leaned on her faith and relied on it.
