Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Madaus presiding.   Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Diannia L. Scott, 60, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the United Hospital Center, following an extended illness.

 

She was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on March 5, 1958, a daughter of the late Daniel M. and Stella Mae Vanscoy   Broadstone.

 

Diannia was married on May 28, 1975, to her husband, Robert Alan Scott, who resides at their home in Bridgeport.

 

She is also survived by one son, James Robert Scott and wife Darcie of Bridgeport; one daughter, Tabitha Ann Scott and fiancé Shawn Shingleton of Spelter; four grandchildren, Devon Cunningham, Cheyenne Boram and wife Ashley, Shelby Scott, and KayLee Scott; one brother Cecil Broadstone of Stonewood; three sisters, Dorothy M. Ayers and husband Daniel of Stonewood, Karen Haught and husband Tommy of Stonewood, and Leeann Armstead and husband Leroy of Clarksburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Junior Broadstone.

 

Diannia was a member of Bible Baptist Temple.  She enjoyed playing cards, camping, and board games.  She was an important member of the Standing Room Only Band.

Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
