Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Richard “R.D.” Farrell officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Dickey Joe Weekley, 90, of Finleyville, PA, formerly of Clarksburg passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 in the WeCare Rolling Meadows Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.

He was born in Jarvisville, WV on February 24, 1935, a son of the late Orval and Armenia Morris Weekley.

Dick had “two great women” in his life. He was married to Naomi Ruth Cole Weekley on April 20, 1953, who preceded him in death on July 19, 1985. He then married his second wife, A. Elaine Love Weekley on April 27, 1988, who preceded him in death on March 29, 2025.

Surviving are his children, Randy S. Weekley and his companion April of Clarksburg, Rebekah “Becky” Sabatelli and her husband Patsy of Mt. Clare, Dianna Samples and her husband Bobby of Salem, Ruthie M. Farrell and her husband Doug of Weston, LaDonna “Dodie” Colvin and her husband Rick of Clarksburg, and William J. Weekley and his wife Cristi of PA; one step-daughter, Kerri Zeiler and her husband Ralph of Finleyville, PA; 20 grandchildren, Robert Forman, Donnie Forman, Elizabeth (Keith) Gainer, Patricia (Chris) Swisher, Todd Weekley, Joseph “J.R.” Sabatelli, Renee (Mike) McLean, Janet Sabatelli (Shawn), Tony (Leeandra) Sabatelli, Patsy (Tasha) Sabatelli, Kenny Weekley, Isaac Samples, Emilee Samples, Joey (Carley) Weekley, Elizabeth Weekley, Michelle (Derek) Slaven, Richard “R.D.” (Sarah) Farrell, Michael (Breanna) Farrell, Marissa Weekley and Maranda Weekley; three step grandchildren, Josh (Lindsay) Zieler, Jamie (Shaun) Kinger and Maddie Zieler; 38 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his children, Vickie Dunn, Kenneth Weekley, Dickey Joe Weekley, Jr., Richard Weekley; one granddaughter, Amanda Childers; and his sister, Debra Jane Byrd.

Mr. Weekley graduated from Bridgeport High School and was a mechanic all his life and enjoyed working on cars with his sons. His first job was at Gabbert’s Garage in Clarksburg and he started his career at Wholesale Tire in Clarksburg where he worked for several years. He was a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows (I.O.O.F.) for over 50 years where he was very active and held many offices including the Grand Master of WV, Grand Patriarch and Grand Treasurer of the Grand Encampment of WV.

Dickey Joe will be dearly missed by those who truly knew and loved him.
