Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 11:00 am with Reverend William Dawson presiding. Interment will be in the Rockford Cemetery.

Dorothy Kathleen Bailey Dawson, 98, of Lost Creek passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
She was born in Kincheloe, WV on April 1, 1926, a daughter of the late Carlos Adrian and Mildred Smith Bailey.
She was married to George Dawson, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, George Dawson of Lost Creek and Gordon Dawson and his wife Sandra of Rockford; seven grandchildren, Brenda (Gary) Wagner, Audrey (Greg) Croft, Amy Dawson, Carl (Santana) Dawson, Melissa Dawson, Justin Talkington and Jonathon Talkington; eight great grandchildren; two siblings, Willard Bailey and Betty (Bob) Caynor; and one sister-in-law, Jerry Bailey.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ruppert Bailey.
Mrs. Dawson was a graduate of Unidis High School and a retired secretary at Lost Creek Elementary School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed canning and gardening. Mrs. Dawson was a Christian by faith.
