Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 2:00 pm until the time of service, which will be at 4:00 pm with Reverend Don Fowler officiating. Private interment will be held by the family on Monday.

H. Edwin “Sonny” Hurst, 81, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center.
He was born in Harrison County on March 2, 1937, a son of the late Harry Edwin Hurst, Sr., and Madge LeFevers Hurst Fisher, and step-father Forest Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Anne Buck Hurst, whom he married on October 23, 1959; and also several brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Edwin Hurst; and one sister, Clara Frances Medlin.
Sonny was a graduate of Washington Irving High School and was a United States Marine Veteran. He was r
etired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass, after which time he worked briefly as a coal miner. Sonny enjoyed bowling and golfing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and WVU basketball fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nutter Fort.
