Family and friends may call at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Richard Jeffries and Pastor Ronnie Beeson presiding.  Interment will follow in the Stonewall Park Cemetery.

Edward Martin “Ed” Perkins, 84, of Lost Creek, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the United Hospital Center.

He was born in Quiet Dell, WV, on September 6, 1938, a son of the late William Salsberry and Ruth Esta Buckhannon Perkins.

He was wed to his wife of 52 years, Ida Virginia Stutler Perkins, on August 29, 1970, who resides at their home in Lost Creek.

Mr. Perkins is also survived by his son, Willie Stutler of Jane Lew; four daughters, Debbie Woodson and husband Claude of Anderson, SC, Kathy Perkins of Lost Creek, Sharon Perkins of Weston, and Sheila Gregory and husband David of West Milford; 12 grandchildren, Amanda, Hollie, Kelley, William, Sabrina, Austin, Monica, Victoria, Michael, Katie, Dakotah, and Justin; 10 great grandchildren; special nephew, William “Tader” Perkins; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind six sisters, Rose Spring, Mildred Lindsey, Violet Goff, Elaine Sinclair, Louise Stout, and Joann Stamm; one brother, Charles Perkins; and his “Little Dog Charlie”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant sisters, Barbara and Arlene, three brothers, William Perkins, Roger Perkins and John Perkins.

Mr. Perkins was a scrap cutter for Clarksburg Iron and Steel.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting, canning, loved playing jokes, and working on cars.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
