Obituaries

Esther Heitz, age 82, of Bridgeport, WV passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, in the United Hospital Center.

She was born April 23, 1935, in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Samuel and Catherine (Belcastro) Oliveto.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Heitz;   son, Thomas E. Heitz; sisters, Theresa Oliveto, Clarksburg;  Sara Poling, Mississippi;  Philomena DeLuca and Mary Germont , Fairmont; Rose Durante, Italy; and brothers, Louis Oliveto, Clarksburg, and Tom Oliveto, Fairmont.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy A. Heitz and Misty,  Bridgeport;   sisters, Virginia Bailey, Atlanta, Georgia, and Irene Lobuts and brother-in-law  Dr. John Lobuts, Rockville, MD; sisters-in-law Sharon Heitz, Clarksburg, Jane Heitz, Charleston, and Lucy Oliveto, Fairmont; niece, Elaine Germont-Gavette and  husband Richard Gavette of Fairmont and Scottsdale, Arizona, and several other nieces and nephews.

Esther was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School (Class of 1953); a long-time employee of the Clarksburg Housing Authority;   and a member of All Saints Catholic Church, All Saints Women’s Club;  and Bridgeport Women’s Club.

There will be no visitation or service, as requested by Esther she will be cremated.
