Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where Catholic Burial Rites will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Casey Mahone presiding. Interment will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard.

Harlen Glen “Buck” Tustin, 87, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Rosewood Health Center.

He was born in Lima, WV, on February 4, 1936, a son of the late Carl and Day Brohard Tustin.

Buck was married to his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Brumage Tustin, on June 1, 1963, who resides at their home in Clarksburg.

Mr. Tustin is survived by five children, Michael Tustin of Augusta, GA, Greg Tustin of Charleston, WV, Leigh Ann Tustin of Richmond, VA, Stephen Tustin and wife Tina of Grafton, WV, and Ryan Tustin and wife Amanda of Morgantown, WV. He was grandfather to ten grandchildren, Kurt, Trey, Seth, Brett, Luke, Ethan, Jeremy, Mya, Bryanne, and Nicholas Tustin. Also surviving are one sister, Marolyn Jett and husband John of Holly Ridge, NC; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Vitola, and brother, Burlin Tustin.

Buck was a graduate of Washington Irving High School, Class of 1955 where he loved playing basketball on the only undefeated team in WI’s history. He served our country as a veteran in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Tustin went on to graduate from Salem College earning a bachelor’s degree in education and started his teaching career at Highland County High School in Monterey, VA. He continued to teach and coach various football programs in West Virginia including Lumberport High School, Buckhannon Upshur Middle School, and Buckhannon Upshur High School.

He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and the farm in Tyler County. He was an avid WVU Fan and loved to write poetry.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg.
