Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.   A Graveside Service will be held at Garrett County Memorial Gardens in Oakland, MD on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Brian Plum presiding.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the LVRF @ Wilmer Eye Institute at John Hopkins University.

Harley Liston Bigler, 90, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Fairmont Regional Hospital.

 

He was born in Morgantown, WV, on January 30, 1926, a son of the late Bryce Bigler and Blanche Hill Bigler.

 

Mr. Bigler was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jean Andrews Bigler, on July 3, 2015.

 

He is survived by two sons, Michael Bigler and his wife Donna of Silver Springs, MD, and Steven Bigler and his wife Dong Mei of Bridgeport; and one daughter, Kathie Jean Calhoun and her husband Jerry of Oakland, MD. He was grandfather to eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

 

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Bigler was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

 

Mr. Bigler was a retired meat cutter with A & P Tea Stores with 46 years of service. He served our country as a veteran in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a former member of the V.F.W.
