Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 3:00 – 7:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Interment will be in the Louisa Jane Cemetery.

Helen Dale Harris, 82, of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in the United Hospital Center.

 

She was born in Weston on July 24, 1937, a daughter of the late Roland and Agnus Blake Belt.

 

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Eugene Harris; one son, Mark Harris of Charleston; one daughter, Cathy Harris of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Anna Fulkner of Charleston, Shanna Harris and her fiancé Joshua Hartford of Stonewood, Amy Wilson of Good Hope, and David Wilson of Stonewood; two great grandchildren, Christian Allen and Taylor Grove; and one great great grandchild, Carter Allen; two brothers, Tony Belt and Scott Belt and his wife Jennifer, both of Weston; one sister, Susie Moneypenny of Weston; one daughter-in-law, Claudette Harris; and one sister-in-law, Patty Belt Collins.

 

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Bruce Harris and Jeffrey “Meatball” Harris; one daughter-in-law, Lenora Harris; and five brothers and sisters, Mary Ellen (Charles) Robinson, Catherine (Clarence) Sumpter, Janet (Robert) Gay, Dick Belt and Roland Belt.

 

Mrs. Harris was a graduate of Weston High School and a member of the Lost Creek United Methodist Church. She loved shopping, bowling and eating out at restaurants. Helen was a loving wife and mother and was always happy and smiling.
