Janice Burnett Tyler, 76, of Jane Lew passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at her residence.

She was born in Clarksburg on January 30, 1946, a daughter of the late Homer Dean and Thelma Louise Freeman Burnett.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thurman Tyler.

Also surviving are one son, Robert Tyler and his wife Missy of Good Hope; three grandchildren, Amanda Drummond and her husband Josh of Morgantown, Arielle Fluharty and her husband Josh of Williamstown and Ethan Tyler of Good Hope; four great grandchildren, Jake, Elleira, Layloni and Jameson; and one brother, Bud Burnett and his wife Barb of Bridgeport.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Glenna Dean Shriver.

Mrs. Tyler was a 1963 graduate of Washington Irving High School and was retired from Dominion Natural Gas Human Services department.

She was a longtime member of the Evangelical Congregational Church and was an active member of the Broad Run Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Entombment will be in the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
