Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Garrett presiding. Cremation services will follow.

Jill Ann (Grogg) Heffinger, of Lost Creek, WV passed from this life to an eternal life in Heaven on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the age of 49 after a long and courageous battle of nearly 4 years with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Killeen, Texas on June 29, 1975, to Steve F. and Deborah L. Grogg, who survive at Greenbrier Acres.
Besides her parents she is survived by her husband of four years, Greg Heffinger, Lost Creek, WV. Her son Seth P. Pumphrey and Alexa Lipscomb and (unborn grandchild) West Milford, WV. Her daughter Jasa A. Pumphrey, of Lost Creek, WV. She is also survived by her father-in-law Jack Heffinger, Good Hope, WV daughter in law Haleigh, husband Brandon and son Jessie Stewart, North Carolina. Stepsons Wyatt Heffinger and Joseph Pumphrey both of Clarksburg, WV. Brother-in-law Brad Heffinger and nieces Abbey and Charlie.
Also surviving her are her nephew Nathan A. Grogg and Bella Savage and (unborn baby) of Morgantown, WV, her niece Jaycie A. Grogg, Marshall University, Huntington, WV. She loved them dearly. Her aunt, she so loved Annie Allen of Clarksburg WV. And someone she considered family, Dennis Gaunt of Good Hope.
She leaves behind an extended family of numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jill was preceded in death by her brother Jason A. Grogg on February 24, 2004. Her maternal grandparents Albert A. “Skip” and Patricia A. Fortney, East View. Her paternal grandmother Anita M. Grogg, Anmoore, WV. Uncles whom she loved dearly, Russell E. Grogg, Jr. (formerly of Anmoore, WV) Aurora, Minnesota and James F. Grogg Anmoore, WV; also, the father of her children, Faye P. Pumphrey.
Jill was a graduate of South Harrison High School, 1995, in Lost Creek. Jill loved to sing and enjoyed gospel and other music genres, cook-outs, swimming, and being with family.
Jill worked for AMEDISYS Hospice, and it was a job that she found joy in caring for others. Her infectious smile and personality will be missed by all who knew her.
Jill was a member of the End Time Warriors Church, West Milford, WV.
Thank you to all her wonderful family and friends for their words of encouragement and for visiting her. Thank you for being there when she needed you most.
The family would like to thank all those who took such special care of Jill during her difficult journey. The Oncology Clinic at UHC and especially Dr. Osman, WVU Hospital, Morgantown and all the nurses and doctors at those facilities and other clinics at WVU and UHC who so willingly and lovingly took care of our precious Jill.
