John Paul Jenkins, 66, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in Clarksburg on December 5, 1957, a son of the late Floyd Franklin and Laura Ann Wine Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Moore Jenkins.

Surviving are one son, John Jenkins, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Clarksburg; two stepsons, James Carpenter of Clarksburg and Ron Sponagule and his wife Jessika of Enterprise; two stepdaughters, Alisha Church of Clarksburg and Misty Barker and her husband Mark of Shinnston; two brothers, Floyd Franklin Jenkins and his wife Faye of Sardis and Worthy Ray Jenkins of East View; one sister, Frances Ann Marsh of Clarksburg; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Bobbie Jo Sponagule one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Jenkins was a retired mechanic for the City of Clarksburg. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Nascar Racing and collecting guns. John loved his dog Zoe and his favorite truck, his Ram 1500.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm with Reverend Johnny Davis officiating.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Jenkins will be cremated following the service.
