Joseph James Caroli, 86, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at River Oaks Nursing Facility in Clarksburg.

He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on May 4, 1938, a son of the late Donoto and Rosie Romano Caroli.

Mr. Caroli is survived by his children, Greg Caroli and wife Debra of Clarksburg, Dan Caroli and wife Toni of Clarksburg, Misty Caroli Harlow and husband Stephen of Horner, WV, and Justin Caroli and wife Samara of Clarksburg. He was grandfather to nine grandchildren, Spencer Harlow, Brock Harlow, Zane Harlow, Wyatt Caroli, Maggie Caroli, Syndee Caroli, Braiden Ingram, Alex Prescott and Brooklyn Prescott; three great grandchildren, Kamryn Caroli, Oaklynn Harlow, and King Harlow; one great great grandchild, Matteo J. Cattlet. He also leaves behind his brother, John Caroli and wife Connie of Bridgeport, and his sister Nancy Audia and husband Bill of Bridgeport, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Mary Caroli Bombardiere, James Caroli, Vicki Caroli Ayoob, and Catherine Caroli; and his grandson, Joseph A. Caroli.

Joseph was a graduate of Victory High School and was a veteran in the U.S. Mariene Corp and served in the Reserves from 1955 to 1963. He was the owner of Joe Caroli Construction and Joe Caroli Kitchen and Bath, retiring after 40 years of service.

Mr. Caroli attended All Saints, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. James. He enjoyed hunting, family and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place
Memphis, TN 38015.
