Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2019.     Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Joseph Larry Yearego, 82, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at his residence.

 

 

He was born in East Rainelle, WV, on March 1, 1937, a son of the late Nick J. and Virginia Vance Yearego.

 

 

Mr. Yearego was preceded in death by his wife Alice Gearhart Yearego.

 

 

He is survived by his children, Pamela Dawn Yearego Scardina and husband Sam of Cape Coral, FL, and Joseph Christopher Yearego and wife Julie of Bridgeport;  his grandchildren, Melissa Ewen of Florida, Shannon Morton and husband Shawn of Florida, Sarah Yearego of Bridgeport, and Daniel Yearego of Bridgeport; his great grandchildren, Rebecca Addison, Reginna Ewen, Reanna Ewen, Khloe Gomez and Michael Morton all of Florida.  He is also survived by his brother, Nick Yearego of Beckley, WV.

 

 

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Clayton Yearego.

 

 

Joseph graduated from Rainelle High School and went on to graduate from West Virginia Technical College.  He retired from Traveler’s Insurance Company after 25 years of service as an insurance adjuster.

 

 

He was Catholic by faith, and a longtime member of Sunny Croft County Club. He was an avid WVU fan who watched every football and basketball game since he was young.

Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
