Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm with Pastor Charles Madaus officiating. The family requests those who attend the service to please wear Steelers or WVU clothing. In keeping with her wishes, Karen will be cremated following the service.

Karen Sue Broadstone Haught, 68, of Stonewood, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at her residence.

She was born in Clarksburg on July 9, 1956, a daughter of the late Daniel M. and Stella M. Vanscoy Broadstone.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Clay Thomas Haught; two children, Stella Bailey and her fiancé Brian Trotter of Stonewood and Barbara McCallum of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Samanatha Bailey and her companion Hannah Collins, Danielle Bugby and her husband David, Gabrielle Claypool and her husband Joseph Martin and Hannah Bailey and her companion Anthony Broadwater; one great grandson who was her pride and joy, Joseph Rex “Joe Joe” Martin; one sister, LeeAnn Armstead and her husband Leroy; one brother, Cecil Broadstone; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Rex Allen Bailey; siblings Dorothy Ayers, Dianna Scott and Daniel “Jr.” Broadstone, Jr.; brother-in-law, Daniel Ayers; and sister-in-law, Regina Broadstone.

Karen was an animal lover and enjoyed fishing. She liked to walk everywhere, enjoyed thrifting and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and WVU Mountaineer fan. Karen loved her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
