Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. where there will be a Nightingale Service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. to conclude the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 126 East Pike Street, Clarksburg, with Father Freddie D’Souza as celebrant. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Karleen and I were childhood friends who grew up together on Glenwood Hill. From our playtime to our college days, she was always my friend. Her mother, Jean, nicknamed me Flicka because I constantly talked horses and Kaye continued calling me by this name throughout the years. Time and distance may have separated us but it did not damage the friendship. My heart is heavy for this loss but I’m at peace knowing she is at peace with our Lord. Prayers to her family and friends in her celebration of her life.
