Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. where a service will be held at 4:00 P.M. to conclude the visitation with Reverend Dr. R.A. Armand, Pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, presiding.Interment will take place on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the WV National Cemetery.

Keith Allen Cox, 67, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on March 2, 2020 at his residence.

 

Mr. Cox was born on April 24, 1952, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Harold Lee Cox and Katherine Jenkins Cox Shields.

 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Hunter Cox, who passed on January 22, 2020.

 

Keith is survived by his three children, Joli Meade of McKeesport, PA, Tiffany Cox of Atlanta, GA and Allen Lee Cox of Florida; five grandchildren, Wesley, Imani, Myah, Amae and Maryn Meade of PA; three great-grandchildren, Janelle and Imari Meade and Quinton Robinson of PA; six siblings, Charles “Mike” Cox and wife Mary of Clarksburg, David Cox and wife Jodi of Clarksburg, Jeanette Cox Walker of Clarksburg, Dale Cox of Clarksburg, Debbie Cox of Clarksburg and Vonnie Cox of Clarksburg;one step-daughter, Brandy Hunter; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Joey.

 

Also preceding him in death are his sister Linda Black and brother James “J.C.” Cox.

 

Keith was a graduate of W.I. High School. He served in the U.S Marine Corp. Keith will be remembered as a selfless man who was always willing to help the underdog. He never met a stranger. He took pride in cooking and feeding the whole neighborhood and was known for his BBQ. He liked to fish as a pastime. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by them.
