Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort on Monday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Jerry Garrett presiding. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bill.

Madalene R. Dean, 86, of Mt. Clare passed away on January 30, 2025 at her residence.
She was born in Clarksburg on December 27, 1938 a daughter of the late William, and Edith Rogers Osborn.
She married James Edwin “Bill” Dean who preceded her in death on July 7, 2017.
Surviving Madalene are one son, John R. Dean of Mt. Clare; two daughters, Donna Jenkins and husband Bill of Mt. Clare and Melissa Dean of West Milford; four grandchildren, Andrew Dean, Erica Dean, Jaron Todd and Shayla Boothe; three great-grandchildren, Austin Batton, Brandon and Kalie Dean; one brother, John Osborn; one sister, Maralene Wilt; and her 16-year-old furry companion, Sadie.
In addition to her husband and parents, Madalene is preceded in death by one son, James Dean; and four brothers, Roger Osborn, Kenny Osborn, William Osborn and Donald Osborn and two sisters, Maxine Ward and Madge Knicely.
Madalene was a 4-H leader for many years. She previously attended Christian Missionary Alliance Church for years and attended Mt. Clare United Methodist Church where she was the youth choir director.
