Mark Christopher Wright, 54, of Allen, Texas, formerly of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Nutter Fort, WV following a long battle with ALS since 2015.

He was born in Clarksburg on August 5, 1965 a son of the late Edwin D. Wright and Avis Derby Wright who resides in Nutter Fort and was where he spent his last months.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Debbie Jernigan Wright of Allen, TX, whom he married April 17, 1994; one son, Matthew Wright of Pittsburgh, PA; one brother, Stanley Wright and his wife Mary of Coshocton, OH; one sister, Dawn Griffin and her husband Devin of Nutter Fort; seven nieces and nephews, Aaron Wright and Austin Griffin of Nutter Fort, Cindy Rodehaver, Shelly White, Mykee Wright, Crissy Wright, Bobby Wright and their families all of Coshocton, OH; and his sister-in-law Sharon Wright also of Coshocton, OH.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and Jerry Wright.

Mark was a graduate of Liberty High School and was an I.T. Consultant with DXC Technology. He loved hiking, geocaching, and reading. Mark was a member of North Texas Runners, having run many half marathons.

In keeping with his wishes, Mark will be cremated. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
