Obituaries

Mary Sue Van Norman, 70, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at the United Hospital Center.

She was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia, on April 28, 1948, a daughter of the late Richard T. and Margaret O’Brien Nicely.

Ms. Van Norman is survived by two sons, Richard Van Norman of Palm Coast, FL; Louis Van Norman and wife Julie of Clarksburg; two daughters, Marcia Ann Heavner and husband Jeffrey of Clarksburg, and Liberty Kincaid and husband Nelson of Clarksburg; six grandchildren, Matthew Stine, Victoria Pennington, Dakota Ferrell, Austin Van Norman, Bryan Van Norman, and Andrew Van Norman; two great grandchildren, Evelyn Van Norman, and Jemma Pennington.  She is also survived by one sister, Alice Evans of Oakland, MD; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Constance Benn.

Mary was an office Manager for J.W. Ebert Corporation and retired with over 20 years of service.

She was Jehovah Witness by faith, and enjoyed being a volunteer grandmother at Nutter Fort Elementary School.

Per her request, she will be cremated.  The family will be holding a memorial service at Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses, Benedum Run Road, Anmoore, on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. led by Brian Cox.
