Obituaries

Michael “Mike” Preston Kelly, 61, of Mt. Clare, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.  He was born in Louisa, KY on March 9, 1956, a son of the late Russell “Bud” and Joan Preston Kelly.

He is survived by his wife, Sharlene Sue Cross Kelly whom he married on July 1, 2007; one daughter, Lisa Lehmkuhle and her husband Michael of Nutter Fort; one step son, Chris Conley and his fiancé Brandi of Fairmont; one step daughter, Tamara Ollom and her husband Matthew of Nutter Fort; eight grandchildren and one on the way, Xavier Lehmkuhle, Deegan Lehmkuhle, Adriana Kelly, Xavier Johnson, Milania Kelly, Harrison Kirk, Wes Conley and Max Conley; and one brother, Greg Kelly of Nutter Fort.  He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael “Joey” Kelly.

Mr. Kelly was a supervisor with Green Mountain Company in Charleston, a member of the Clarksburg Lodge No. 52 Loyal Order of the Moose, and Clarksburg Lodge No. 482 B.P.O. Elks.

Mike never met a stranger and he always had a smile on his face.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:00 am with Reverend Brian Plum officiating.  Interment will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
