Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, where Catholic Funeral Rites will be held at 1:00 pm with Father Walt Jagela presiding. In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Leuliette will be cremated following the service. Interment will be held in the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Mildred Marie “Peggy” Plivelich Leuliette, 94, of Bridgeport, formerly of Hepzibah passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

She was born in Mt. Clare on March 25, 1929, a daughter of the late Pete and Anna Matish Plivelich.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph V. Leuliette, Jr. on April 24, 2003.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Ann Ponzurick of Bridgeport and Susie Von Gustedt and her husband Andrew of West Palm Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Alissa Marie Dumire and her husband Scott and Lindsey Nicole Ponzurick and her fiancé Guy Kemp; one great grandson, Bishop Gabriel Dumire; one sister, Judy Prosen of Youngstown, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, John, Pete Jr. and Don Plivelich; two sisters, Barbara Gertz and Catherine Caldwell; and one son-in-law, Rich Ponzurick.

Mrs. Leuliette was a 1946 graduate of Victory High School. She worked at Adamston Flat Glass and was a secretary at Hepzibah, Spelter and Wilsonburg Elementary Schools, retiring from Liberty High School. She was an avid fan of WVU, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. Peggy was Catholic by faith and attended the area’s Catholic Churches.
