Obituaries

Nancy Jo Dodd, 72, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Philippi on October 10, 1947, a daughter of the late Arlin and Maggie Heatherly Paugh.

She was married to Franklin K. Dodd, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Penny McCumbers and her husband Charles of Clarksburg, and Melissa Goodwin and her husband Bryan of Philippi; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Woodson, Cassie Witalec and her husband Chris, Clayton Goodwin, Colby Goodwin and Sara Goodwin; three great grandchildren, Riley Woodson, Michael and Mason Witalec; three brothers, Robert “Bob” Paugh and his wife Dorothy of Conaway, PA, Donald “Don” Paugh of Clarksburg, and Charles Paugh of Philippi; one sister-in-law, Jeanette Paugh of Mt. Clare; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Jerry Paugh; two sisters, Phyllis Swede and Betty Schnittger; one brother-in-law, Victor Swede; and three sisters-in-law, Roberta “Blondie” Paugh, Lorlei Paugh and Barbara “Sue” Paugh.

Mrs. Dodd was a retired Nurses Aide at Heartland of Clarksburg with 34 years of service.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Dodd will be cremated. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
