Nancy Joyce Heater, of Mt. Clare passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at her residence.

 

She was born on March 17, 1953, a daughter of the late Howard Bernard and Nancy Leona Tennant. Nancy was one of six children and was named after her mother.

 

Surviving are her husband, Richard “Hot Dog” Heater; two sons, Richard “Rodie” Heater and Christopher Heater, both of Mt. Clare; three grandchildren, Ethan Christopher Heater, Emmalynn Grace Heater and Kaylynn Noel Heater; three sisters, Sherry Lee Swiger, Laurie Ellenn Tennant and Betsy Shawn Tennant all of Clarksburg; and well as Joni Sellars, a sister from another mother, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl H. Tennant and Robert “Cody” Tennant, one nephew Matthew Tennant, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anna Mae and Chandos Heater.

 

Nancy stayed at home growing up her sons. She loved camping, fishing and canoeing at Lake George in Florida, as well as boating, motorcycling and campfires with family and friends. She loved singing, dancing and computer games, as well as yardsaling with her sisters. She enjoyed helping her sister at Clarksburg Arear Florist. Nancy loved to laugh and was a wonderful wife and mother.
