Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be in the Simpson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bi-County Nutrition, 416 Ohio Avenue, Clarksburg WV 26301.

Norma Jean Godwin, 84, of Clarksburg passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the United Hospital Center while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Flemington, WV on December 16, 1939, a daughter of the late Howard D. and Estel M. Knight Godwin.

She was a Grafton High School graduate and worked in retail most of her life. Prior to retirement, Norma had worked at Stone & Thomas and Rex Heck News in Clarksburg.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela Frum and her husband Patrick of Lost Creek: her grandson Mark Frum, his wife Erin Frum and their children, Easton and Brooks, of Ridgeley WV; her two sisters Dianna Brinker and her husband Harold of Pine Grove WV and Delberta Cuppett of Chillicothe, Ohio; and her brother Ronald Godwin of Southington, Ohio; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her longtime companion William “Curtis” Kesling; and her brothers Dale Godwin and Howard D. Godwin, Jr.

Norma enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch, quilting, crocheting, gardening, working puzzles and playing bingo. She also enjoyed camping with Curtis in the years prior to his death. Norma loved spending time with her family, especially being “GiGi” to Easton and Brooks. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with the new friends she made in the past two years at the Clarksburg Towers.
