Norman Wesly “Butch” Bowen, 74, of Mt. Clare passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in New Martinsville, WV on June 30, 1950, a son of the late Robert and Ruth Kelly Bowen.

He is survived by his wife, Marta K. Williams Bowen, whom he married on December 24, 1992.

Also surviving are four siblings, Roberta “Bobbie” Brown and her husband Jerry of Clarksburg, Roy Lee Bowen and his companion Linda of Shinnston, Beth Herrod and her husband Rick of Marshville and Boyd “Jug Head” Bowen and his wife Randi of Salem; 50 nieces and nephews; 2 brothers-in-law, Kenna Williams and his companion Vicki of Shinnston, Kent Williams and his wife Jessica of Virginia; his step-son whom he thought of as a son, Mikel Seckman and his wife Iva of Martinsburg; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one God-grandson; two children from a previous marriage; and special friends, Doug and Billie Hutson and Larry and Gerry Miller.

Mr. Bowen was a graduate of Bristol High School and a retired service representative with Hobart Equipment Repair. Following retirement, he went on to work for Trailer City in Fairmont, where he served in many roles. He was a lifetime member and past president of the Salem Rifle and Pistol Club and was a volunteer with the NCWV Honor Flight. Butch loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and camping. He loved nothing better than the joy and love he felt cooking by the campfire with his friends from Soaring Eagle.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation services were held.
