He was a born-again Christian who gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ in January 1979.  He was called into the ministry in 1994, and served the Glen Falls Baptist Church for 16 years.  After leaving Glen Falls church he was then pastor of the Oak Mound Evangelical Church for six years.  This was the church where David accepted the offer of salvation from his Lord.  Prior to the ministry David taught Sunday School and helped with area youth.
