Richard Allen Butcher, 84, of Clarksburg passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his residence.
He was born in Clarksburg on February 11, 1935, a son of the late Ray and Lucy McCormick Butcher.
Surviving are one brother, Gerald Butcher of Mineral Ridge, OH; five sisters, Barbara Johnson of Savanna, GA, Sharon Alonso of Nutter Fort, Brenda Conley of Mt. Clare, Linda Altovilla and her husband Pasco and Terry Felts and her husband Stuart, both of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Ray and Ronald Butcher; and four sisters, Olive Boyce, Margaret Schweinbraten, Sarah Spohn and Rosemary Tingler.
Mr. Butcher was employed at Sanitary Bakery and Eagle Convex Glass Factory and was a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church.
