Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 am with Reverend Del Parris officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Richard “Butch” Elliott, 81, of Lost Creek passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at his residence.
He was born in Clarksburg on May 19, 1943, a son of the late Fred and Eleanor Wickenhofer Elliott.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet Sue Buchannon Elliott, whom he married on April 15, 1966.
Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly Wygal and her husband Dave of Lost Creek; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Wygal; and one great granddaughter, Kynlee, who was the apple of his eye.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Brian Elliott on August 3, 1995; one grandson, Trey Wygal on January 6, 2020; his father-n-law, Harold Buchannon, and his mother-in-law, Mary Shepherd Buchannon.
Mr. Elliott was a 1961 graduate of Washington Irving High School and a veteran of the United States Army Reserves with 14 years of service. He was a sales representative in the grocery industry, including A & P, Foodland and Kroger grocery stores.
Butch loved hunting and fishing and coached Pop Warner football and Little League baseball.
