We lost a loving father and grandfather today, May 9, 2020, Robert “Bob” Donald Smith. He was born October 18, 1946 in Clarksburg, WV.
He was a son of the late Roy Donald and Lois “Libby” Elizabeth Smith from West Milford. He was married to the late Karen Sue Smith, also from West Milford.
He is survived by two children, Robert “Douglas” Smith and wife Sheri of
Clemmons, NC, and Dawnetta Brown and husband Jimmy of Salem; two
grandchildren, Troy Thompson of Morgantown, and Joe Brown of Nutter Fort; and
several nieces and nephews
Bob was a 1964 graduate of R.W. High School. He retired from UCAR Carbon,
was a veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of the VFW Post 573.
He loved going camping, visiting Myrtle Beach, hunting, fishing, and digging
ramps.
He will be sadly missed by his cat and buddy “Boots”.
Per his request, he will be cremated.
