Obituaries

Robert Earle Orsburn, 86, of Stonewood, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.

He was born in Excelsior, WV on September 27, 1932, a son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Madge Anne Shipman Orsburn.

He is survived by his wife, Mabelean Alice Smith Orsburn, whom he married on August 31, 1952; one son, Danny Earle Orsburn of Nutter Fort; two daughters, Darlean Southern of Clarksburg and Penny Lehosit of Stonewood; five grandchildren, Travis, Jonathan and Melinda Southern, Bridgette Straley, and Brooklynn Lehosit; and five great grandchildren, Amber, Morgan, Carter and Hudson Southern, and Kenneth Weekley.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters including 1 infant sister; and one great grandson, Gard Southern.

Mr. Orsburn was a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School and was a retired welder with Pittsburgh Plate Glass. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Temple, where he was a Deacon, Usher and a Volunteer.

Family and friends may call at the Bible Baptist Temple, 1450 Cost Avenue, Stonewood, WV 26301 on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10:00 am until the hour of service, which will be at 1:00 pm with Pastor Charles Madaus officiating. Interment will be in the Stonewall Park Cemetery.
