Obituaries

Robert Lee Bailey, Sr. 83, of Jane Lew, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the United Hospital Center, following a brief illness.

He was born on February 16, 1935, a son of the late Harry and Lillie Minear Bailey.

Mr. Bailey is survived by two sons, Robert Bailey, Jr. and wife Michelle of Lewis County, and Larry Bailey and wife Paulette of Philippi; three daughters, Donna Smith and husband Edsel of Lewis County, Beverly Hatim of Chesapeake Beach, MD, and Sherri Deem of Jane Lew; 16 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Corder of Rosemont; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Bailey, one sister, Natalie Kelly; two brothers, George Bailey and James “Buddy” Bailey; one great great-grandson, and one great great-granddaughter.

He was the owner and operator of R & B Garage for over 40 years. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren and working in his garage.

Per his request, he will be cremated.
