Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bobby Bright presiding.   Interment will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery, where full military graveside rites will be accorded.

Robert W. Johnson, Jr. age 58 of Arlington Addition, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness.

 

He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on October 21, 1959, a son of the late Shirley Ann Shiflet Johnson and Robert Wayne Johnson, Sr. of Clarksburg.

 

Robert is survived by his wife, Kimberly “Kim” Pumphrey Johnson, whom he married on March 13, 1999.

 

Also surviving are two sons, Justin Hurst of Clarksburg, and Carl “C.J.” Johnson of North View; one daughter, Bobbi Ashley Johnson of Clarksburg; extended children, Heather Hall of North View, and Patrick Lindsey of North View; and 10 grandchildren, Natalie, Khole, Liam, Kanyon, Logan See and wife Emily, Hailey See and boyfriend Joey Earnest, Andrew See and girlfriend Logan Shanholtz, Kaylee, Landon, and “Little Logan Ross”.  He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Brown and husband John of Woodbridge, VA, and Debra Swiger and husband Dave of Clarksburg.

 

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Chuck Johnson and Steven Bailey; one sister, Tammy Johnson Buffey; and special nephew, Ricky Taylor.

 

Robert attended Liberty High School, and had been a construction worker in the roofing business. He served our country as a veteran in the U. S. Army.

 

He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, loved to sing gospel songs, enjoyed fishing, but most of all he loved his grandchildren with a passion.
