Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jeffrey Hanlin presiding.   Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ruth Ann Williams Blair, 63, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Charleston Area Medical Center.

She was born in Clarksburg, WV, on January 27, 1955, a daughter of the late John Edward Williams and Edith Marguerite Carhuff Williams. Ruth was raised by a special uncle, Carl Williams, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Michael Blair in 2005; brother, Bobby Williams, and half-brother John David Williams and half-sister, Betty Jean Williams Teets.
She is survived by her brother, Ritchie Williams of Florida; three half-sisters, Kim, Kelly, and Robin; and by her step children, Brian Cross and his wife Angela, and Dawn Sprouse and her husband Greg, whom she thought of as her own children, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was retired from United Hospital Center where she cleaned surgical tools.

She was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church. She was active in the Independent Order of Oddfellows and Rebekah’s of West Virginia. She joined Ivy #122, on May 20, 1987, became an associate of Shinnston #47 on September 6, 2013, transferring full membership to Shinnston #47 on April 7, 2017. Ruth Ann was Chief Matriarch of Star L.E.A. # 104 Clarksburg, Vice President, Clarksburg L.A.P.M. #9, Past Noble Grand, Ivy #112, Past District Deputy President District #9, Right Support to Vice-Grand of Shinnston Rebekah Lodge #47, serving as President of the Rebekah Assembly of WV, and was within hours of completing her term as president of 2017-2018. She was given a Medallion Award from the Representative of the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jeffrey Hanlin presiding. Shinnston Rebekah Lodge #47 will gather at the funeral home for the purpose of conducting a memorial service along with past presidents.

Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
