Obituaries

Sharon Kay Ferrell, 74, of Clarksburg passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on October 14, 1944, a daughter of the late Brent and Eleanor Davisson VanScoy.

She was married to Charles Ferrell who preceded her in death in 1993.

Surviving are one son, Jim Ferrell of Clarksburg; one daughter, Julie Kniceley and her husband Shawn of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Daniel and Ruby Kniceley; one brother, Richard VanScoy and his wife Joan of Signal Mountain, TN; two nephews, Fred Ham, IV and Greg VanScoy; and two nieces, Amy Camp and Kris Smetanko.

Mrs. Ferrell was a 1962 graduate of Victory High School and was a retired real estate agent with 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs, and researching her genealogy.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 12:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 11:00 am with Jocelyn Blackwell officiating. Interment will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
